Jackalope Land x Jungle Tribe Collab Custom Leather Mask: Masked in Fantasy

A one of a kind custom mask collaboration between Jungle Tribe and Jackalope Land. In the photo you will see the blank Jungle Tribe Leather Mask that the artist customized. This is the result.

I wanted to mix the darkness and anonymity of the gimp mask with the childish and colourful symbol of a unicorn which represents purity and innocence in a clashing of worlds. While gimp masks can traditionally be a way someone can stay hidden in the shadows, the use of eye catching materials and fantastical symbols was a way to have someone disguised while also being the center of attention- pulling them out of their comfort zone.

The BDSM world is one where people play out their fantasies, so I wanted to connect this adult fantasy world with fantasies we may have connected to as children- showing how things can change as we get older, yet maybe stay the same in some ways.

This piece was created using holographic PVC's, crystals, sequins, acrylic hair and rhinestones.
