Kendo Tech Black Leather Bucket Bag Shoulder Purse

Kendo:
'the way of the sword'

It falls under the umbrella term Kenjutsu (剣術) which represents the schools of Japanese swordsmanship.
It originated with the samurai class of feudal Japan, meaning "the method, technique or the art of the sword."

Now that this purse is done, I feel that it closely has the feel of the technical elements of Bōgu (防具) "armor" used by kendo students, specifically elements like the caged mask. When I showed this purse to a friend, that is what came to her mind immediately.
But I guess everyone might see something different in this purse, it all depends on the eye.

At the time I designed the purse I was obsessed with tech-wear and a picture of an all black pair of puma running shoes. That is how it came to life, and now it has its own whole thing going on. I don't think you will find another purse that looks like it.

In the process of making it, I concentrated on creating smooth minimal lines continuous throughout the purse. I wanted to send the eye in multiple directions, almost as if 2 purses collided together in separate movement. The mesh panel is actually a pocket, perfect for phone and keys. On either end of the zipper are long leather pulls that can be tucked in for a more sleek look.

It features hand stitched panels and a geometric triangular shape.
